Air flow silencers

What are they used for?

Air flow acoustic silencers have been specially designed to dampen all noises produced by ventilation systems, both in industrial and civil systems.

They are widely used in installations where big air volumes are moved at low pressures. The functioning is based on the dissipative action from the absorbing material it has inside, which creates chambers, pipes or labyrinths, depending on the design and the construction in which the air is channelled.

The dampening depends to a large extent on the absorption coefficient of these materials, and on the volume and length of the flow path.
